Top 5 Ways to improve your scrapping

1. Learn more about the program you use. Take a class, learn the short cuts, use the help section.

2. Step back from the computer and look at your layout. Sometime revisiting a layout after an hour or couple of days can help you see the parts you like and the parts that may need altering.

3. Challenge yourself. There are challenges to suit all scrappers. Those to keep you in your comfort zone, and those to encourage you to scrap something you might not otherwise. Try to scrap one of each – who knows what the result may be!

4. Don’t think about it too much – just scrap! You can analyse the details once you’ve got the elements and photos together. Then take a look at the details – shadowing, placement, clarity, space, framing, attachment, colour.

5. Show your layouts. Print them out for albums or to hang on the wall, post them to galleries for feedback and comments. If you want further advice or constructive criticism – post a thread for people to take a look and let you know how you are going.

All of these things will help you improve your scrapping. Everyone has room to improve and develop, so it can apply equally to the beginner or experienced scrapper.
