Once your layout is completed, it's time to prepare it ready for sharing on the web!
Before going any further save the original working version complete with layers in the native .pspimage format, thus enabling you to make amendments or alterations at any time.
Let's Begin . . .
Step 1: Duplicate the original
Go to Windows > Duplicate [Shift +D]
Click back on the original document & close it
Step 2: On the duplicate image Go to Layers > Merge All (Flatten)
Go to Image > Resize [Shift +S]
Step 3: Change the resolution & dimensions where indicated & leave other settings as shown
(make sure to change the resolution first otherwise you'll end up with a very tiny image)
Step 4: Go to File > Export > JPEG Optimizer*
Use the slider (or manually enter) to change the compression value to the lowest # that
will result in an image size of less than 125kb (125,000 bytes)
Click ok
Step 5: Navigate to the folder where you wish to save your layout
Name your file, click ok to save & now you're ready to upload to your favourite galleries :)
GENERAL HINTS & TIPS: Make use of shortcuts & remember there is usually more than one way to complete a step.
(note: most online galleries require images to be no greater than 600 pixels at the widest point & with a maximum size of 125kb)
* alternatively you can use the wizard if you choose & follow the prompts for each step
