BRUSH SHORTCUTS
Decrease one brush size: PRESS LEFT BRACKET[
Increase one brush size: PRESS RIGHT BRACKET]
(you can continue to press the bracket keys until you reach the size you require)
Harder tip: SHIFT + RIGHT BRACKET
Softer tip: SHIFT + LEFT BRACKET
COLOUR SHORTCUTS
Default colours (black foreground, white background) PRESS D to return to default
Fill layer with background colour: CTRL + BACKSPACE
Fill layer with foreground colour: ALT+ BACKSPACE
Switch colour chips: PRESS X
Copy: CTRL+ C
Duplicate a layer: CTRL + J
Deselect: CTRL + D
Document window larger: CTRL+ PLUS KEY
Document window smaller: CTRL + MINUS KEY
Hue & Saturation: CTRL + U
Levels:CTRL + L
Move Tool shortcut: PRESS V
New Document:CTRL + N OR
CTRL + ALT + N to get last document size you used
Paste: CTRL +V
Preferences: CTRL + K
Rulers – open & close: CTRL + SHIFT + R
Save: CTRL + S
Save as: CTRL + SHIFT + S
Select an object on a layer: CTRL CLICK on the thumbnail in Layers Palette
Step backward (undo last action): CTRL + Z
Step forward: CTRL + Y
Transform (resize): CTRL + T
Tranform whilst maintaning proportions: SHIFT & DRAG from corner handle
Resize from centre: ALT + SHIFT & DRAG from corner handle
Transform & Distort: PRESS CTRL KEY
Type Enlarged by 2 points: CTRL + SHIFT + >
