ACDSee Photo Manager - Quick Tip
By Nathalie Keur

Sometimes you have heaps of different papers and elements used from different designers and it is hard to remember which item is from which designer and not always are the files clearly labeled. Since I have ACDSee Photo Manager I do this:
Because I search for papers and elements using the Manager, the program is already open. The items I choose to use on the layout I drag into the image basket (if you can’t see it go to View – Image Basket or use shortcut Ctrl + 5). In the Image Basket I highlight all the files and drag them into my Photoshop to open them. I delete items in the Image Basket that I haven’t used in my layout as I work along and sometimes I add a product.
As soon as I finished my layout, do my File Info as mentioned above and I cannot remember from whom the product is, I go to my Image Basket, highlight the item, rightclick and say “Go to File”. This way it takes me to the kit and I know instantly which kit and from whom the product is. Then I can go back to my File Info and fill the information in. While I like to keep the credits within my PSD File there are several options in ACDSee Photo Manager to create lists.
