Our last Variety Challenge for the year.
Here is the prize you will receive if you take up my challenge:

Now here is the challenge.
I would like you to create a Christmas Desktop for your computer.
Here is mine and below I will give instructions for anyone who has never done this before:

Instructions for creating a Desktop:

To get the size you need for your layout, take your mouse and right-click anywhere on your desktop. A menu will pop up, select Properties ( for Vista you will need to look in Personalize). In Properties select Settings. There you should see a sliding bar for Screen Resolution. Under that you will see something like "1440 by 900 pixels". Write that donw adn click Cancel.

Open your preferred scrapbook software, and open a new image. Give it the size you wrote down, make sure it is in pixels. You don't have to scrap at 300 DPI for your desktop, you can use 72 DPI for this instead.

Now you are ready to scrap! Remember to account for space for visibility of your icons.

When you finish, save a COPY as JPG. ( Make sure it's a copy, you rwant your original in case you want to make changes.) Pull up the folder you saved your JPG in, find the right file, and then right-click and choose "Set As Desktop Background".
