December Inspired by Art Challenge

Hello,
Here is my new challenge, it's not really a piece of Art, it's just a greeting card but it plays with a well-know rule in Art.
Here is my proposition : something simple, with WARM colour, but the point of interest here is that we call in Art "the party for all" (approximative translation, sorry) but I hope you'll understand.
For example here, the focus is on a part of the Christmas ball, but you immediately recognize a Christmas ball, and the second level is, you immediately recognize that we are speaking about Christmas, KWIM ?

The theme is THE PART FOR ALL, for the rest... You are free.

In some ways I think we would be happy to have a few extra days ... but then, I sometimes wish it had just turned into January

I hate dodging heaps of people in the shops and waiting in queues with 2 items, like I did today

I solved this problem by buying my gift for children in November... and making myself some little something for the adults... this year I plane to make Note Cubs turned into Photo Note Cubs and I plane to make little photo album with Badge Pockets but I can't find only one in France !!! I have to find them on Internet !

Do you think this is a good idea, ad do you think people could be interested in some Templates for that ??

I always enjoy doing your challenges as I am a lover of art - just wish I had time and money to try my hand at painting - maybe one day.

Hopefully if I get my laptop back soon I will do this challenge as I do like it.

I've gone with the warm colours, and the sharing by all, but Steve tells me I have interpreted it all wrong !

So I will have another go, with his idea, and see if it is what you are after Caroline

I know there is no right or wrong way, but I like to do what is intended !

Do you know that Acrylic Paint is not very expensive !! You could try with some Nylon brushes (not expensive and great hairs, they take enough liquid and stay softly flexible... I love nylon brushes...) and you are not obliged to paint on canvas, that's a little bit expensive than canvas cardboard, which stay rigid under the brush. To begin it's a good compromise. Acrylic Paint is soluble with water (no smell of turpentine like with oil paint !!) and you could work it like watercolor, with a lot of water or like oil, with a painting knifes (in thickness)....

You could also use simple paper that you had prepared with coating of wood glue delayed in water to make paper waterproof (even for oil painting !!)
You just have to scotch it on a craft with gummed kraft to avoid the deformation of the paper and you paint on the paper still fixed on the wood board.

I hope my english is enough good to make understandable these explanations !!
